“Unlike almost all online and hybrid agents we have invested in ensuring that all of our processes and procedures adhere to the highest possible professional standards as outlined by ARLA Propertymark and we are incredibly proud to have been accepted onto the renowned scheme” Jack Merchant MARLA (Lettings Director)
Why is it important to use an ARLA Propertymark regulated agent?
ARLA Propertymark is the UK’s Largest professional body for lettings agents and means that we have a code of conduct to follow and a duty of care to our clients and customers meaning you can rest assured that we uphold a high standard of ethical and professional behaviour. ARLA helps eliminate the problems that arise from unregistered agents who do not handle their client’s money (both landlords and tenants) in a professional manner.
The lettings industry is constantly evolving and changing, and at Laurels it is our aim to remain at the forefront of this evolution. As specialists in Lettings we have the correct set of skills required to allow us to assist with every single element of legislation that covers residential lettings.
1) Client money protection
The Client Money Protection (CMP) Scheme is a compensation scheme run by the National Federation of Property Professionals which provides compensation to landlords, tenants and other clients should an agent misappropriate their rent, deposit or other client funds.
As a member of CMP we place a strong emphasis on raising standards and providing consumer protection; the Client Money Protection Compensation Scheme plays an integral part in this.
2) Professional Indemnity Insurance
As an ARLA Propertymark regulated agent we are required to have professional indemnity insurance which means that, as a landlord, you have complete peace of mind that we are adhering to the highest possible code of conduct when it comes to dealing with your property and money.
3) On-going training and development
In order to become a member of ARLA Propertymark we are required to be trained and qualified to the highest of standards. We are also required to complete a programme of Continuous Professional Development in order to ensure our skills are completely up to date meaning we are always able to give you the best possible advice.
By choosing an ARLA Propertymark registered agent such as Laurels you can rest assured that you are working with consummate professionals and that you are in safe hands.
